It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 14th Portuguese-Spanish International Conference of Electrical Engineering, XIVCLEEE for short, to be held in Coimbra, Portugal, from 2nd to 4th July, 2015.
The Portuguese-Spanish Conference on Electrical Engineering is the natural heir of the "Jornadas Hispano Lusas de Ingeniería Eléctrica - JHLIE" that were founded in 1990 in Vigo. This Conference, now in the 14th edition is the major International Conference on Electrical Engineering held in the Iberian Peninsula and is jointly organized by the two sister Associations APDEE (Associação Portuguesa para o Desenvolvimento da Engenharia Electrotenica) and AEDIE (Associación Española para el Desarollo de la Ingenieria Electrica).
Now established as a regular biennal event this Conference alternates between Portugal and Spain, to mention Vigo (1990), Coimbra (1991), Barcelona (1993), Porto (1995), Salamanca (1997), Lisboa (1999), Madrid (2001), Vilamoura (2003), Marbella (2005), Funchal - Madeira (2007), Zaragoza (2009), Ponta Delgada - Azores (2011), Valencia (2013) and Coimbra (2015).
This Conference, like its predecessors covers the whole range of applications and problems of Electrical Engineering as indicated in the thematic areas and topics below. It is intented to be a forum for specialists engaged in the field of Electric Engineering to discuss current progress and future develepments and trends in the key areas of Electric Engineering.
The XIVCLEEE Conference will be held in Coimbra (Portugal), know all over the world to receive high quality events, in Hotel Vila Galé.
The City of Coimbra has its own special mystique. Rich in its history and with a University founded in 1290 by King Dinis, is the home to the oldest university of Portugal and one of the oldest in the world. It is mainly an University Town, but it is also an historic city with lots of monuments and other historic treasures with a busy commerce and te vibrant presence of the Mondego river, the "River of Poets" as locals call it proudly, offering visitors the beauty of its banks, making the city an important touristic destination.
In Coimbra the river has always been sung, and the students have given and they still give the city fados and ballads, books and poems, dreams and "Saudade".
You are strongly encouraged to participate and submit papers to the XIVCLEEE Conference, within the frame of the Conference topics.
